Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
 
High pressure south and low pressure approaching from the west
will yield breezy southwest winds today and tonight. This prior
to a sweeping cold front along which widespread rain with embedded
heavier showers and thunderstorms is forecast. Clearing out early
Wednesday, high pressure follows for the remainder of the week.
